This 96 page black and white photographic monograph is the first of two volumes, this one showcasing 123 photographs of the Santa Fe Railroad between 1976 and 1992. Locations include, Cajon, Tehachapi, the Mojave Desert, Arizona, New Mexico, and many more. Classic SF motive power from that era abounds, and is shown in transition from the bookend blue scheme through repainting, rebuilding, and renumbering into the yellow bonnet scheme. While this is not a history, the photographs contained within are now historical themselves.
